* Does The Pursuit Of Self-Interest Poison A Community Or A Culture?

I believe, in general, that self-interest has no significant negative impacts on communities or cultures.  However, when genocide comes into play than it's a whole different ball game.  A simple example of this is found in World War 2 when Hitler dictated Germany during the Holocaust.  Hitler wanted to eliminate Jews, Communists, Gypsies, Homosexuals, and various other groups from society.  He wanted to do this out of self interest, and not only was this damaging to Europe but to the entire globe as well.
